Coenzyme Q10 stimulate the lazy spermatozoa
Iran – Researchers at the University of Tehran have found a supplement coenzyme Q10 which can improve sperm quality in men of low fertility.
A sperm must travel some distance to reach the egg. For that it needs a lot of energy. When a man produces spermatozoa in small quantity that has less mobility, its fertility is compromised.
Vitamin and antioxidant, coenzyme Q10 is found naturally in all body cells. 95% of all body energy needs are processed through this coenzyme. Because sperm are sensitive to oxidative stress, the researchers wanted to determine whether a supplement coenzyme Q10 could improve sperm quality and thus male fertility.
The study gathered 212 men suffering from fertility disorders. The first group received a supplement of 300 Mg of coenzyme Q10 for 7 months, the second group did not receive any active substance. The results of the first group showed an improvement of the quality of sperm, with more spermatozoa, which were in addition more mobile.
The coenzyme Q10 is present in large quantities in the offal, beef, sardines and mackerel.
