Thanks to a remarkable Czech innovation, patients with diseases of the esophagus could see the dawning hope of curing their disease now. The company ELLA-CS Hradec Králové is the first in the world to make a special cannula reticular holding the esophagus free. It is made in a material which, over time, breaks in the body without causing harmful side effects.

The property has received a European certification and can now market its biodegradable stent in all European Union countries. For research and development related to the esophageal cannula reticular biodegradable, ELLA-CS was assisted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. In the future, it intends to direct its efforts to other prostheses for which this new technology becomes available.
