Despite its name, Bing, the new search engine giant Microsoft, is struggling to revolutionize the world of online search.
After nearly three weeks of existence, Bing forward timidly and always pale in comparison beside the two leaders as Yahoo! and Google. According to statistics from StatCounter, the search engine of Microsoft fell 5.52% market share on 1 June in the U.S., to 6.83% on 16 June. On the same date, Yahoo! accounted for 12% market share and Google, 79%.
With people testing Bing mostly by curiosity, these results are enough to frustrate Microsoft, which announced its abandonment of the project online video Soapbox.
