Brilliant Blue G – The dye used for the M&M’s blue would be a remedy against the injuries of the spine

United States – Scientific studies have revealed that the food coloring used for M & M’s blue could be used in the treatment of injuries of the spine.

The Brilliant Blue G, which is used to create the M & M’s blue, could block the action of a chemical compound that aggravates the wounds of the spine, causing inflammation and destruction of cells. According to researchers at the University of Rochester, treatment with Brilliant Blue G might reduce the size of lesions in the spine, and even speed up the process of healing.

Used in time, Brilliant Blue G would have allowed injured rats to walk again, although the animals did not receive the product would never have found this option.

However there remains a surprising side effect to this amazing ability, the skin of rats used for the experiment has become temporarily blue. Furthermore, the dye should be administered to patients intravenously within 15 minutes after the accident, to be truly effective.
