Men devote themselves more readily to the pleasure than the women
France – The test results of “Quotient Plaisir” (Pleasure quotient, PQ ), initiated by Magnum , shows that men engage more willingly to the pleasure than women.
More than 110,000 people around the world have responded to the test calculation of PQ. The scale of PQ was developed by psychologist Alex Linley, from the University of Leicester. His research has identified ten criteria defining the pleasure, for various factors such as taste and personal fulfillment. He created a scale based on the frequency and intensity of factors.
The online test proposed by the Magnum is part of a vast global study on the pleasure, in order to ascertain the levels of pleasure by country. The results for France show that men have an average PQ higher than that of women (120 against 116).
In term of age, the pensioners have a PQ of ten points higher than the national average of 118. Family, recreation, relaxation and sex are among the ideas most often quoted by the French people. Globally, the pleasures of the table, drink and food are the most common. The people enjoying the “Pleasure of Listening” obtained the highest PQ.
