Therapeutic lenses to look after and increase the vision

The American and Australian engineers have developed contact lenses that would avoid putting drops in the eyes and would restore vision.
The engineers of the Eyenovations company have developed a lens capable of disseminating therapeutic drops at regular intervals for a month. The lens will facilitate in particular the treatment of glaucoma and other eye diseases. It could also be used for administration of antibiotics after surgery.
In Australia, the new contact lenses carry original cells in order to restore the vision of the patients. The transfer technique using stem cells to …

COLED – new technology for organic light emitting diodes

New high-efficiency light sources that can entirely displace incandescent lamps and fluorescent lights has been developed.
Scientists nonprofit research institute SRI International and the Japan-based chemical company Showa Denko KK (SDK) combined a resonant organic light-emitting diodes (cavity organic light-emitting diode, COLED) and the light-emitting polymers of SDK. COLED – this is a new structure that uses resonators to generate five times more light on the conventional OLED. The devices potentially twice the efficiency of fluorescent lamps containing mercury, has problems with the physical placement in compact devices.

Einstein’s theory was not always right, as evidenced by the Brownian motion

The theory of Brownian motion goes back mainly to Albert Einstein and involves, in the case of the diffusion of particles, the famous bell curve of Gauss. A group of American researchers have recently discovered that Einstein’s theory did not work in some cases.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, the assumption that the material was composed of atoms was not accepted by the entire scientific community. Some felt uncomfortable with these “metaphysics” so small we could not directly observe or verify their existence with a microscope and wanted to …
